I used to do some photography work myself, so I had a VERY high bar when I looked for a photographer for my own wedding. We interviewed a few and had a scoring rubric based on style, technical ability, equipment, experience and personality, before choosing Resonance. Will and Shell are amazing they were one of our favorite vendors – we’re so happy we found them through reviews! They were so awesome to work with during our engagement and wedding day. Our photos came out just as I imagined. They’re super professional, experienced, and I loved that they were great “behind the scenes” type photographers who will capture intimate moments without disrupting your day. We also booked a package with them that included a videographer (the videographer was good but I wish I booked someone separately vs. through Resonance). Their editing has a very specific style, so would check out their work beforehand to make sure that is the vibe you are going for. Their work product speaks for itself otherwise and you won’t regret working with them— book them in advance, because they get very busy 🙂

The entire team is highly professional and easy to communicate with. Because we got engaged right before the COVID pandemic, our wedding was rescheduled three times. Throughout that frustrating process, Will and his team were incredibly understanding and accommodating, working with us on the schedule adjustment. For our engagement, we picked Madison square park, and Will did a fantastic job capturing the NYC sunset and the emotions between my husband and me. The photographs look like Will knew us for years. One significant difference between engagement photos and wedding photos is that in addition to a couple, during the wedding, it is essential to capture all the guests in addition to the couple. Will does a fantastic job capturing the entire atmosphere of the wedding with his documentary-style photography. Those are no cookie-cutter photographs. Our wedding took place at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn when everyone was coming out of the pandemic burnout. I was intrigued by their artistry and creativity on their website and his communication was professional and precise leading up to the day. Despite the overcast and rain, I always saw him and his team taking photos of our friends and family through the reception. He was even able to capture a great photo of my reception dress despite not having a planned photo opportunity. I was especially surprised with our outdoor photos, despite being in the drizzle for 15 minutes, he captured the fun and love of that day for us then. I cannot express how I love the photos! During the shooting process, the photographer is super nice and guided you to be you, not as someone else. He is also very patient to tell you the postures and how you should adjust. We waited for about a month for the photos to be out but don’t be scared away by the waiting time because it is totally worth it! Sometimes when I saw some one else’s wedding photos I know the styles will be outdated after years but mine photos with Will definitely will not! Due to COVID, we had a very small backyard wedding in NJ. Resonance and a couple of other vendors offer this great package for Petite Wedding, which is exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I both agreed a high quality photographer was a top priority on our wedding to do list. We began the search and decided someone with a photojournalistic style was the type of photographer we were looking for. We stumbled upon a website tailored to just what we were looking for, the Wedding Photojournalist Association. We sent out inquiries and filtered through responses. We met with Will and Shell and had a great conversation and their positive energy and enthusiasm was contagious. We loved their work, their approach to the process and moved forward with them. Leading up to the day of, everything was well coordinated and a planned outlined to accommodate everything from photos getting ready, first look, ceremony, etc. Of course things got hectic the day of and our timeline shifted someone but Will and his team adjusted with us and kept with the flow. They were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make the day feel special. They captured all the moments along the way and got some fantastic shots. He did a great job of balancing our wants and instructing us on what to do to get the right pictures. They have great attention to detail and an uncanny eye for catching moments with unique lighting. We were blown away by the end product and have received non-stop praise from friends and family about how well they came out. We still go through them finding our new favorites. They were a pleasure to work with and we cannot recommend them enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them. You won’t regret it.

If you just do a quick google search on Resonance Vision you will notice perfect 5-star ratings across the board, countless awards and nothing but glowing reviews; that should be all you need to book Will and Shell. From the very start – Resonance Vision’s professionalism, transparency and general interest was on point. Forget those “house vendor” suggested photogs – they are cheap, fast, and ugly. Will and Shell are photographers first – who happen to do weddings too. Their rate is fair – and very flexible in customizing packages, day of logistics and albums. One note – be very clear in the photos you want (ie. less of the you the couple, get wedding guests, table shots, dancing shots). You should not hesitate to book Will and Shell – I am surprised there isn’t a 6-month waiting period as is.

We can’t overstate how impressed we are by Will and Shell’s work. My husband and I eloped from New Zealand to the Big Apple and we found Will and Shell online beforehand and we could see their pricing was very competitive for the high quality of images they produced for their clients. Wedding day came and we finally met up in Dumbo, Brooklyn to take our wedding photos and to say we love our wedding photos so much is a total understatement. WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVVVVE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS! Will and Shell truly captured our happiness and we totally highly recommend them. I didn’t have the luck to have Shell and Will shoot my wedding pictures since I was already married when I first knew them. However, they took the first photos for my baby! I had thought that they were just visiting us at the hospital, as friends, and taking some random pictures, but was so amazed when I saw the moments documented by these pictures. The pictures tell stories beautifully in a natural yet touching way. Shell and Will are born artists who deeply understand people and life. I’ve seen lots of wedding pictures they’ve taken and have always been touched without knowing the bride or groom. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends for their big day. Consider them early since they are really gaining popularity.

My wedding was couple month ago and Shell and Will was my Photograher at my wedding.. I got my wedding photos not long ago, and I LOVE them! They were on time, not lazy, organize, professional  and they are perfectionist… Which is so great because I’m very picky bride.. It was such a relief that I don’t have to worry about them not doing a good job.. U know how bride gets so stressful when is the Big day! Lol.. They are Always looking out for perfect moment and for spots to take photos of me with my husband and my bridal party.  When I got my photos, there are so many moments I missed out on, coz I was basically running around greeting everyone and I’m so glad they had took photos of it! It has Laughter, tears of joy, a lot of smile faces. I’m so thankful for them, they done such wonderful job, would definitely recommend them 100%!!

They are amazing!!! Super artistic, dedicated, flexible and professional. We started using them in 2014 for our engagement photos. They followed us around the Central Park and soho for almost the whole day, carrying all their heavy duty professional equipment, and even our stuff and our 15lb dog during the shoot. No complaints at all. I was awed by the photos they shot when I got them. Even my dog looked like a pro celebrity dog. They were so sweet that they even gave us an album for free! We then used them for our wedding in the same year. They captured the best moments of my life. The wedding didn’t end until late, but They insisted on driving back even when we offered to book a room for them. We used them for another 2 parties and they did such an exquisite job for both parties. Strongly recommend them! Best photographers ever.
