Simple answers for couples just starting to look for a wedding photographer

How would you describe your photography style?
We’re documentary wedding photographers, and telling authentic stories is at the core of who we are. On a wedding day, you’ll usually find us quietly observing from behind the lens—watching for those fleeting, one-of-a-kind moments that truly tell your story.
With Master’s degrees in Fine Art, we bring an artistic foundation to our work. Art school shaped how we see the world—teaching us to create with intention, to look deeper, and to use photography as a language of its own. This gives our photos a unique voice, blending artistry with genuine emotion.
I’m a little camera shy.
Same here—totally normal! We promise not to turn you into a mannequin with stiff poses, because we’d feel awkward too. Instead, we’ll keep things easy—maybe just looking at the camera, or doing something simple together. While you’re relaxed and being yourselves, we’ll capture the moments as they unfold. Because if it doesn’t feel natural, it won’t look natural either.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! We’re based in New Jersey and regularly work in NYC, MA, CT, PA, and across the Northeast—and beyond. There is no travel fee for locations within 60 miles of 07910. For farther locations, just reach out and we’ll work out the details.
What happens if it rains?
We love rain, and wind, and snow—if you’re open to it too. Hugging under an umbrella in the rain, your veil blowing in the wind, or sharing a kiss in the middle of falling snowflakes…these moments are so beautiful. They make your photos truly one of a kind, becoming part of your unique story.
If the forecast shows heavy rain for your engagement session, we can simply reschedule—no worries.
Who will actually be the one photographing my wedding?
We’re a family-run studio, and Will and Shell are the main photographers—so one of us will photograph your wedding. If you book two photographers, we may shoot together or split up to cover separate events. In those cases, we’ll bring along an experienced, trusted photographer with a similar style to join as our second shooter.
What happens if something unexpected comes up and you can’t photograph our wedding?
As we mentioned above, we’re a two-photographer team. If one of us can’t make it, the other will definitely be there. In the very rare case that neither of us could attend, we would bring in another experienced photographer with a similar style to step in—or fully refund your deposit. Fortunately, this has never happened.
Who takes care of the post-editing for the photos?
We personally edit every single image. For us, editing is part of the creative process—it’s where the mood, colors, and subtle details come together to tell your story. We’ve tried outsourcing before, but even the smallest differences felt like the photos lost their voice. So now, we keep this part in our own hands.
Yes, we use AI—but first of all, we train it in our own style. AI doesn’t edit on its own; it helps speed up the process. We then go through and refine every single image, one by one.
Do you carry insurance ?
Yes, we do—and we can adjust the content based on the requirements of the venue.
Do you also offer videography?
Yes, we do! Our package includes videography service, handled by an amazing and talented videographer whose style is very similar to ours. You can book her services directly through us, which makes the paperwork much easier. If she’s not available, we also have other trusted videographers we’ve worked with many times that we’d be happy to recommend.

How long will it take for us to receive our photos?
For weddings, the full gallery is usually ready in about 8 weeks. During peak seasons (May–June and August–October), it may take 8–12 weeks. But don’t worry—you’ll receive 20+ Sneak Peeks within one week after the wedding.
For engagement sessions, editing takes about 4 weeks. If you need the photos sooner to create your Save the Date cards, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
How many final edited images can we expect to get?
Culling (deleting extra shots) is actually the most time-consuming part, since we can never stop ourselves from shooting too much! In general, for example, from an 8-hour wedding with one photographer, you can expect 800+ final images (often more). For a 1.5-hour engagement session, you’ll receive 70+ edited images.
How do you keep our images safe?
During the shoot, every photo is saved to two memory cards at the same time. Once we get home, we back everything up to our main computer, an external hard drive, and also upload a copy to the cloud.
